I bought these for my teenage son a while ago. He previously had the same pair from another retailer several years ago and they lasted a long time! I patched them until there was nothing left to patch. He loves these shorts! They fit great in all the right places and hold up nicely, the color doesn't bleed or fade after many washes and they are comfortable and breathe! As long as you care for them properly - wash in cold water and dry on low heat until just dry, not over dry or line dry - they will last you comfortably for a long time! I highly recommend these!They fit perfectly! In fact, this is the first pair of these kind of shorts we've had that actually do fit well. They're also super comfortable. They have deep pockets, which is also nice. And the fabric is very soft (not crinkly, like our last pair). Hopefully, these will last a long while and, eventually, we will be back to purchase again.We ordered navy red plaid got what they call red there really gray and 5 out of 12 was too small even though they said 32 they were more like 30 the rest were very goodThey are really nice, but the legs are a larger than I would like.However, I am keeping them because the material is beautifuland my wife says I look pretty good in them!Nice shorts. I wear a 38 in everything except these shorts. Thankfully I read a previous review that said to order one size bigger. In my opinion I would say order two sizes bigger as even the 40 was hard to button.I ordered this shorts in a 38 two sizes up from what I normally wear and the where a little tight. Completely wearable,just order two sizes up. Besides that they are a nice lightweight pair of shorts for 20$Actually the short wasn't too small, my waist was larger than expected!These are very nice quality. They are not actual sewn patchwork, but rather a very nice yarn dye weave that looks like patchwork. The advantage is that they are heavier weight & have fewer seams to fail after a few washings. I bought a second pair when i saw how well these were built
