Found sizing a bit confusing and ended up ordering the wrong size. I returned them, but my initial impression was that they were of good quality so no complaints.very good and strong just make sure to wear good socksThese skates are all I hoped for and more!I started skating a couple months ago, and I’ve been taking a class. I bought cheap $60 skates at the start of the class, which broke down pretty quick and provided very little ankle support, making it difficult to do a lot of beginner/intermediate techniques.I did a little bit of research, but it’s hard to find information for good men’s figure skates. I saw these mentioned on a few lists, so I decided to give them a shot.After getting them sharpened with a 1/2 inch hollow, they work very well and my ankles couldn’t feel safer! Not to mention the comfortable, snug fit of the rest of the shoe. Completely exceeded all of my expectations!Jackson skates are great. This pair are a suede leather exterior which I didn’t expect since the photo appears to be a polished leather, but they look good and fit well. My grandson hasn’t skated in them yet but I’m confident of the Jackson quality since we’ve had several previous pair. I bought size 12 skates and he’s wearing 12-1/2 shoes and these will fit him all this season, so I would recommend ordering 1/2-1 size smaller than street shoes. We measured using the Jackson size chart provided on the Skate Guru website and got a good fit. Product arrived in good shape sent on time. Would have given 5 stars except that the leather was not as expected, but I’m happy and will keep these skates. Thanks Skate Guru!Please see a professional before you purchase any pair of skates! Don’t be like me and end up purchasing skates that are too big! I was like “Yeah no I know my skate size psh” and ended up buying a half size too big. So please, visit your local ice rink before you purchase so you can get a proper fitting and then purchase these skates.Getting off my figure skating soapbox, these skates are amazing! Even though they’re slightly too big, they’ve really improved my skating prowess! Jumps and spins have become a lot easier, they’re super comfortable as well, and they’re made out of really good, wear-and-tear resistant material. I’d honestly buy another pair.I will be very careful to shop with this seller. I bought the expensive skates for my boy, and the skate has quality issue within 3 months as the shoe starts to separate from the sole. The seller did not help at all in this situation except claiming the order has passed 30day return policy, so they won't be responsible for any defects. I will recommend to find a local store to purchase skates, so you will have much better post-sale support.Delivery was late for one day, so I missed an important first class if the training. So disappointedFit, looks and construction are excellent. Skates are very comfortable. I am a new scater and had trouble with the toe pick. The bottom pick extends out and down from the blade and caught on the ice. So I ground off the bottom picks and now I love the skates!The skates arrived on time and in perfect condition. The black leather and clean look drew many compliments from onlookers. The fit was snug as I'd hoped. I can't comment much on the design of the blade as these are my first figure skates.A friendly reminder: be sure to wear extra thick socks with your skates, as the padding inside may not be sufficient for extended periods of skating. Blades do not come sharpened. You may want to invest in better skate guards, as the ones that come in the box are snug and do not let the skates dry after use.I started skating again and needed new skates.
