Let me start from that I focus on bouldering exclusively. This new version of the Solutions is way batter than the old one in many respects. First of all, it provides the same toe and arch support performance. On top of that, hell-hooks work better, since the heel sensitivity is improved and it just fits nicer - I can feel the hold just like I do with the toe. Another plus is that the breaking period is tiny. I normally wear US 9. The old Solutions were 8.5 and hurt my about a month. With these new ones it was easy. I felt like I can go down for a better performance, because old Solutions got a bit loose with time. So, first I went for 7.5 and immediately felt pain to the point it became clear that's not my size (at least for my right foot which is tiny bigger). Then I went for size 8 and bingo - it worked like a charm after just two days of breaking into them at home!Highly recommend for bouldering!
